Story board
Jump Scare productions were set to plan the story board of our tease trailer, for this it had to consist of different basic camera shots and some of the basic horror shots as well (shown experiments above), this has been done to show us how the frames will fit together. The storyboard is the main structure of how The Collector will visually come together as a finished product. This is one of the last things to plan just before making our trailer therefore has to look as professional as possible so its easy to follow. The storyboard will allow Jump Scare productions to see what shots going to be included and are essential and how long each will be so we don't film to much footage that will go over the time limit given for a teaser trailer.
This storyboard consist of 30 different stock shots, including shots such as ECU (extreme close up) iris close, slow mo blood droplets, shadow of the knife, the victim being dragged away this shot will need low lighting just shinning on the face and hands of the victim. These horror shot types are essential in the making of the trailer as this is conventional to this genre. When making the final cut for our horror trailer we would like to make the jump scares as jumpy as possible as this creates a better effect, this is why the key stock horror shot are included. Each shot in our storyboard contains a specific time between 2-5 seconds.
Animatic Storyboard Without Sound
This animatic was created using Splice and it uses all the shots drawn from the storyboard, this has been put into a video slideshow without any sound, Next the sound designers will overlay the sound using final cut pro on top of this to plan out what our trailer will look like. A picture was taken of each individual shot from the storyboard and edited together using splice. I have also used different transformations as the scene cuts to the next one also placing any text in the right place to show the structure. I have also cut down the length of time each shot will last on the screen.
Animatic Storyboard With Sound
This animatic was created using Splice this animatic has now got an overlay of the type of sounds we would like to use in our trailer and was created by the sound design team. We created the sound on a music production software called Logic Pro, we then exported it to Final cut where we have added our sound mix to it, creating a sound animatic.
